The Melbourne training facility is fully equipped for theoretical and practical training, delivering solar accredited and non accredited solar courses.

Recently completed the battery course with Solar Training Centre. Coming from a background as Head of Electrotechnology at a major regional RTO in Victoria, I’ve seen a lot of training and this really stood out.
Steve has clearly been deliberate in selecting trainers who are not just educators but active on the tools solar electricians. That real world experience shows in every part of the course.
The delivery was excellent, practical, and genuinely engaging, I learned a lot and was properly spent by the end of each day.

I recently done the grid connect solar and battery courses at the Solar Training Centre and was very impressed with the training. Unlike other courses these guys genuinely care about preparing you for carrying out real-world installations, not just ticking boxes. Trainer Rob and Caz in the office were fantastic, and the facilities and online resources were excellent. Would highly recommend Solar Training Centre for anyone looking to get into solar, batteries etc

Misleading and Unprofessional – Avoid This Company!
I had an awful experience with this company. I took a course based on their advice, as I was told by their staff that it would fulfill the requirements for my Working at Heights ticket. After completing the course and lodging my application with Solar Accreditation Victoria, I was informed that the course was NOT acceptable for this purpose.
This company gave me completely false information, and when I reached out for a refund or a resolution, they ignored me. I even offered to transfer the course fees toward a Solar Grid Design and Connect refresher course if a refund wasn’t possible, but they still haven’t bothered to respond.
It’s incredibly frustrating to deal with a business that doesn’t take responsibility for their mistakes or care about their customers. They wasted my time and money, and their lack of communication shows how unprofessional they really are. Don’t trust them—they’ll mislead you, take your money, and leave you stranded.

I recently completed the Battery Short Course and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. The course content was comprehensive, engaging, and incredibly informative. I did my solar designer course here. The course was well structured. There were plenty of practical application discussions and explanations by the trainer. I have just completed the Off Grid Design and Install training at the Melbourne centre. Steve and Kaz have created a bussiness that focuses on the training outcome rather than just making people accredited, there is a real feeling of passion about the whole training centre.
Josh Sheppard was our trainer and he has a very in depth knowledge of designing and installing off grid systems, he is a current installer, has real life relevant experience and is very up to date with products and solutions. He was great with delivery of information and able to show real answers to any question or topic raised.
This business has forged relationships with relevant suppliers and has a huge suite of working products to install as part of the practical sessions. We had the pleasure of installing a brand new Selectronics invertor and set up from scratch; complete with working batteries.
Off Grid heavyweights Selectronics and Powerplus Energy support this centre and attend training sessions to offer information and support to participants.

These guys are the real deal, our teacher was an old boy who had been there and back and had the t-shirt to prove it.
They taught us in a thorough and enjoyable way and I gained all the technical and practical know-how I was looking for.
We had lunch put on for us 3 times the week and coffee and snacks galore.
The big unis and tafe's may be cheaper but you get what you pay for. These guys are the best

Steve was a fantastic solar course facilitator for a bunch of female plumbing apprentices - myself included! He is very knowledgeable on the industry and friendly and enthusiastic to boot.

How do I become a Solar Accreditation (formerly CEC accredited) solar installer in Melbourne?
To become an accredited solar installer with Solar Accreditation Australia (former CEC accredited solar installer) you first need to complete this Solar Course.
Once we issue your certificate, you may apply for accreditation with Solar Accreditation Australia (formerly Clean Energy Council) here.
Upon completion of the above Design and Install Grid Connected Solar PV Systems Course, you can continue on to the Solar PV Battery Storage Course
You can also complete our Off grid (Stand-alone) Course as well!!
What can I expect from the solar training?
You can expect our solar courses to cover theory and practical training thoroughly, in line with Australian Standards and industry guidelines. Depending on your course, you will learn how to properly and safely install solar panels and design and install PV systems and battery storage systems.
I am an electrician, which solar course is right for me?
Electricians have three options depending on the level of solar accreditation they require.
Upon completion of the Design and Install Grid Connected Solar PV Systems Course, electricians can apply to Solar Accreditation Australia. You can also opt just for a Design Course or an Install course. Then apply for SAA accreditation here.
Then, completion of Design and Install Battery Systems for Grid Connected Solar PV Course prepares the student for an application to be accredited Battery Storage Design and /or Install.
Finish off your training with Stand-alone Systems Design or Design and Install!
