Yes – after the completion of this course (Design and Install Battery Systems for Grid Connected Solar PV), you can apply to become a qualified Solar PV Battery System Designer/ Installer with Solar Accreditation Australia.

Solar Battery Storage for Grid PV Course Information
CITB, Keystone Tas and CSQ subsidies apply to this course as well as SAA CPD points!
Electricians and other eligible learners* who already hold qualifications in Design/ Install Grid-Connected PV Systems can complete this Battery Storage course and be eligible for Battery Storage for Grid Design / Install Endorsement with Solar Accreditation Australia
You must be a Licensed Electrician (A-grade, full license) to undertake Install studies. Additional accreditation requirements apply
This Course involves these units of study (prerequisites apply)*:
UEERE0060 Design grid-connected battery storage systems
UEERE0077 Install battery storage equipment power conversion equipment to grid
UEERE0078 Install battery storage to power conversion equipment
*All students must have completed Grid PV studies – ask for our Course Outline for details
*All students must have completed and unit UEERE0054 Conduct site survey for grid-connected photovoltaic and battery storage systems – if you have completed a Grid PV qualification and are SAA accredited for Grid PV, you can apply for recognition of prior learning (RPL) for this unit when you enrol in the battery course – currently no fee
*Note all non-electricians also need to complete the prerequisite unit UEERE0051 Apply electrical principles to renewable energy systems – this is in addition to the battery course fee and requires additional study

You’ll receive thorough training and assessment to prepare you for field work – don’t be short-changed by completing a shorter course involving only simple design concepts and observing your trainer complete an install.
