Solar Battery Storage for Grid PV Course Information

Electricians and other eligible learners* who already hold qualifications in Design/ Install Grid-Connected PV Systems can complete this Battery Storage course and be eligible for Battery Storage for Grid Design / Install Endorsement with the Clean Energy Council/ its successor.

You must be a Licensed Electrician (A-grade, full license) to undertake Install studies.

Additional accreditation requirements apply – these will be announced by the new Accreditation Provider (called an “ASO”) in Feb 2024. The Clean Energy Regulator has confirmed that the new ASO will not change the study pathway/ units required to gain accreditation.

This Course involves these units of study (prerequisites apply)*:

UEERE0060  Design grid-connected battery storage systems

UEERE0077   Install battery storage equipment power conversion equipment to grid

UEERE0078  Install battery storage to power conversion equipment

*All students must have completed Grid PV studies – ask for our Course Outline for details

*All students must have completed and unit UEERE0054 Conduct site survey for grid-connected photovoltaic and battery storage systems – if needed, you can apply for recognition of prior learning (RPL) for this unit when you enrol in the battery course – currently no fee

*Note all non-electricians also need to complete the prerequisite unit UEERE0051 Apply electrical principles to renewable energy systems – completed fully online and currently discounted to $850 – this is in addition to the battery course fee and requires additional study
