  • What time does the course start and finish?

    8am sign up, starts 8.30 sharp. Finishes 4.30 pm

  • How is the course delivered?

    Face to face sessions x 5 plus self directed learning

  • How long will training and assessment take?

    All training and some assessment activities are completed during training

    Remaining assessments are completed in your own time, within 6 weeks of completing attendance

  • When is payment required?

    Payment is required before the course commences

  • Are fee subsidies available?

    CITB (SA) and CSQ (Qld)  are available subject to availability and eligibility

  • Will completion of the Solar Battery PV Storage Course get me CEC accreditation as a battery installer?

    Yes, after the completion of this course (Design and Install Battery Systems for Grid Connected Solar PV), you can apply to become a qualified Solar PV Battery Installer with the Clean Energy Council (CEC).

  • Which cities is the course delivered in?

    Delivery of this course is at our training facilities in: Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Darwin.

Solar Battery Storage for Grid PV Course Information

Electricians and other eligible learners* who already hold qualifications in  Design/  Install Grid-Connected PV Systems  can complete this Battery Storage course and be eligible for Battery + Grid PV Design / Install Endorsement with  the Clean Energy Council (additional CEC accreditation requirements apply – see www.cleanenergycouncil.org.au ). You must be a Licensed Electrician (A-grade, full license) to undertake the unit UEERE4001.

This Course involves two units of study:


UEERE5001   Design battery storage systems for grid-connected photovoltaic systems

UEERE4001   Install, maintain and fault find battery storage systems for grid-connected photovoltaic systems

Award:
Statement of Attainment for successfully completed units of study.

*Note Electrical and Electronic Engineers who are CEC accredited in Grid PV Design can complete this course for a Certificate of Completion and apply for CEC accreditation in Battery Endorsement

Work on live systems with trainers who actually work in the field.  Training includes installation of three different configurations of systems, and two fully worked designs for installer-assembled battery systems for grid. You will receive thorough training and assessment to prepare you for field work – don’t be short changed by completing a shorter course involving only simple design concepts.

Solar Battery Storage Course Includes:

  • Planning and designing for and design battery storage systems for grid connected PV including a variety of customer drivers and battery technology
  • Sizing and configuring a battery system suitable for connection to the grid and solar PV following Australian Standards, regulations and CEC Guidelines
  • Installing maintaining and fault-finding battery storage systems for grid connected PV systems
