Yes, after the completion of this course (Design and/ or Install Grid Connected Solar PV Systems), you may apply for a provisional accreditation as a Solar PV Installer/ Designer with Solar Accreditation Australia.
To become a fully qualified Solar PV Installer or Designer you will need to complete Solar Training Centre’s course in Design and/or Install Grid Connected Solar PV Systems and them apply for provisional accreditation with Solar Accreditation Australia. Contact SAA for more information.

CITB, Keystone Tas and CSQ subsidies apply to this course as well as SAA CPD points!
Licensed Electricians and Electrical Apprentices (with conditions) can gain entry to provisional Grid-Connect Solar Design and /or Install PV Systems with Solar Accreditation Australia, SAA accreditation by successfully completing this short course (additional accreditation requirements apply).
You must complete this course before you can study a Battery Storage Course.
Non- electricians including Engineers and others such as solar sales staff can study a pathway towards Grid-Connected Solar Design accreditation. This is a very challenging but rewarding pathway for participants who do not have prior electrical and solar systems knowledge.

UEERE0051 Apply electrical principles to renewable energy systems
Electrical Engineers with a degree recognised by Engineers Australia can apply for partial recognition of prior learning (RPL) and complete some additional studies to be awarded this unit – currently discounted to $850
If you are not an Electrical Engineer, you’ll need to provide a Statement of Attainment for the completion of this unit when you enrol in our Design course.
