Yes, after the completion of this course (Design and/ or Install Grid Connected Solar PV Systems), you may apply for a provisional accreditation as a Solar PV Installer with Solar Accreditation Australia, formerly Clean Energy Council (CEC)
To become a fully qualified Solar PV Installer or Designer you will need to: complete Solar Training Centre’s course in Design and/or Install Grid Connected Solar PV Systems -> apply for provisional accreditation with Solar Accreditation Australia -> pass the SAA’s online assessment and also submit and pass a SAA install case study. Solar Training Centre is not involved in this SAA process – contact the SAA for more information.
Delivery of this course is at our training facilities in: Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Darwin. Contact us if you would like to arrange group training at alternative locations
Solar Installation/Design Course Information
CITB, Keystone Tas and CSQ funding available as well as SAA CPD points!
Licensed Electricians and Electrical Apprentices (with conditions) can gain entry to provisional Grid-Connect Solar Design and /or Install PV Systems with Solar Accreditation Australia by successfully completing this short course (additional accreditation requirements apply).
You must complete this course before you can study a Battery Storage Course.
Non- electricians including Engineers and others such as solar sales staff can study a pathway towards Grid-Connected Solar Design accreditation. This is a very challenging but rewarding pathway for participants who do not have prior electrical and solar systems knowledge.
If you are not an Electrician or Electrical/Electronic Engineer, contact us to discuss your study options and a pathway that will suit you.
BALLARAT COURSES ONLY – *Free course to eligible metropolitan and regional Victorian participants
Solar Victoria is fully funding training for qualified people working in the electrical industry to equip them with the skills and knowledge needed to meet growth in the solar and clean energy sector.
Eligible electricians and fourth-year electrical apprentices can apply for a Course Fee Grant to attend our Ballarat courses and become a qualified solar photovoltaic designer and installer.
Strictly limited places available – see the eligibility criteria here and register via our course calendar
