  • What time does the course start and finish?

    QLD: Start 7.30am- finish 4.30 pm

    Other states – 8am sign up, starts 8.30 sharp. Finishes 4.30 pm

  • How is the course delivered?

    Face to face sessions x 5 plus self directed learning.

  • How long will training and assessment take?

    All training and some assessment activities are completed during training.

    Remaining assessments are completed in your own time, within 6 weeks of completing attendance.

  • When is payment required?

    Payment is required before the course commences.

  • Are fee subsidies available?

    CITB (SA) and CSQ (Qld)  are available subject to availability and eligibility. Contact us for more information.

  • Will completion of the Solar PV Installation Course get me CEC accreditation as a solar installer?

    Yes, after the completion of this course (Design and Install Grid Connected Solar PV Systems), you may apply for a provisional application as a Solar PV Installer with the Clean Energy Council (CEC) here.

    To become a fully qualified Solar PV Installer you will need to: complete Design and Install Grid Connected Solar PV Systems -> apply for provisional application with CEC -> pass some CEC online assessments.

    Delivery of this course is at our training facilities in: Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Darwin.

Solar PV Installation Course Information

Electricians and other eligible learners can gain their Grid-Connect Install and Design PV System Accreditation from the Clean Energy Council (CEC) by successfully completing this short course (additional CEC accreditation requirements apply – see ).

This Solar PV Installation Course involves three units of study: .

UEENEEK125A   Solve basic problems in photovoltaic energy apparatus and systems

UEENEEK135A   Design grid connected photovoltaic power supply systems

UEENEEK148A    Install, configure and commission LV grid connected photovoltaic power systems

Statement of Attainment for successfully completed units of study. Note Electrical Engineers can complete this course and receive a Certificate of Completion which is accepted by the Clean Energy Council.

We deliver a comprehensive and thorough course – we don’t cut corners or reduce the course duration just to push you through quickly. In particular, you will complete two full system designs to CEC standards.  Our trainers can assist you post course with questions you have about assessments.

Solar PV Installation Course Includes:

  • How to solve predictable problems in photovoltaic energy apparatus operating at extra low voltage
  • Comprehensive training in how to design grid connected power supply systems in line with Australian Standards and CEC guidelines
  • How to set up, install and adjust photovoltaic power systems and connect to a supply grid inverter
  • Practical training including installation of PV panels on two types of roof construction, and installation and commissioning of grid connected inverters
  • 4 Written and 4 practical assessments
