Verify Certificates
If you provide us your previous study certificates as part of your enrolment, they need to be verified so we can ensure they are authentic.
Providing a certificate that is already verified/ verifiable can reduce delays in your enrolment and completion of your study with us.
Here are some ways to make sure the documents you provide us are verified or verifiable.
OPTION A – Provide a verifiable “USI VET Transcript” with a QR code on the back
Your USI account at www.usi.gov.au holds an official record of all units you have completed since 2015
You can download your USI VET Transcript and supply it to us – it must have a QR code on the back.
To obtain this, follow these steps:
A. Log into the USI website to access your training records – go to www.usi.gov.au – and select VIEW VET TRANSCRIPT.
B. Follow the prompts until you see DOWNLOAD VET TRANSCRIPT
C. Tick YES to CREATE A VIEWABLE ONLINE VET TRANSCRIPT
D. Set a time limit for us to view the transcript to verify it
E. Download the USI VET Transcript and provide it to us
F. We will verify that it’s authentic via the QR code on the back of the transcript
OPTION B – Scan and send us your Statement of Attainment (SOA) which includes a QR code.
This document is issued by your previous training provider listing units you have completed. The QR code allows us to verify the document. The SOA must include the words Statement of Attainment. We can’t accept a photo of this document – it must be a scan of the original.
OPTION C – Provide your SOA and complete a form which we will send to the training provider that issued your certificate
If you have a Statement of Attainment that DOES NOT have a QR code on it, we will need to contact the training provider that issued the certificate for verification that it is true and correct. You’ll need to sign our Verification Consent Form giving your training provider permission to communicate with us when we contact them for verification. You’ll need to have already provided us with a copy of your SOA.
A link to our Verification Consent Form is here. It remains your responsibility to contact your provider if they don’t respond to our verification request. If your previous training provider is no longer operating, please contact us for further direction.
