Safework Australia reports that falls from a height account for 30 per cent of fatalities within the construction industry – the highest cause by far – and every year around 11% of these are electricians.

The Solar Training Centre offers this work safely at heights course specifically designed for solar installers, electricians and other trades who work at heights.
In this one-day work safely at height course, our highly experienced Instructors will teach you the knowledge and skills you need to:
Work Safely at Heights Course Includes:
- Understand and meet the legal and technical requirements for working safely at heights
- Identify and manage hazards and risks associated with working at heights
- Selection and safe use of personal protective equipment
- Safety systems including falls protection and associated equipment
- Safe work methods of working at heights
Duration:
Total 8 hours of training and assessment – Start 8.15 for 8.30 am – finish 4.30 pm
Class starts sharply on time – Late arrivals not admitted
You must be:
18 years of age and have the ability to read/write/understand basic English.
Fee Includes:
Learner Manual, Training, Assessment, Statement of Attainment, Competency Card
Assessment:
Written and /or oral questions, and Observation of Practical Skills – all completed in class

Note: There are physical requirements for this course including climbing balancing, reaching and lifting.
